Cindy Crawford Talks About Her Life as a Mom on Oprah
Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber are on today's episode of Oprah talking about her home and busy life in Malibu with their kids Presley, 8, and Kaya, 6.
The center of the family's Malibu beach home is the kitchen. Cindy's morning splurge - a cup of decaf tea... with a little twist. "This is the key to my tea. It's vanilla powder and it's from the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and I make an English breakfast tea. It's almost like a grown-up hot chocolate," she says.
Cindy loves to collect and organize pictures of her family. "Rande can attest to this, I love family photos, and I collect maybe three months' worth in a bowl. Then, I'll sit down one night and kind of lay it out, edit and then write captions. So if you come to my house or anyone comes over, I don't have to walk you through the album," she says. "That way if my mom's visiting, I give her a glass of wine, give her a photo album, I'll cook dinner, and she can enjoy the photo album."
Even though she can be a fashionista when she hits the red carpet, Cindy's favorite daily clothes are T-shirts by promom couture. "I'm a mom and I live in Malibu, so most days I'm wearing jeans and a T-shirt. I love these T-shirts because they're all about being a mom, but I think they're cute," she says. "This one, for instance, looks like a Grateful Dead T-shirt, but it says, 'Grateful Mom.'" (The tees by Promom Couture are also some of my favorite daily clothes!)

House Star Hugh Laurie Battling 'Mild Depression'
House star Hugh Laurie returned to work on Monday after taking a sudden trip home to his native England for undisclosed family issues.
Last week, Laurie, told House producers he had a family emergency and needed to return to England immediately. He boarded a plane on October 25 and flew to London, where his wife, Jo, and their three children, Charlie, Bill and Rebecca, live.
In a new interview in Sunday's Sydney Daily Telegraph, Laurie revealed that he is battling "mild depression” and is seeing a therapist periodically.
He went on to say that he misses his family while filming in Los Angeles and is "drained" by the show's overnight success.
"I'm always thinking about the show," he says. "I'm too neurotic and too anal and too convinced that we're going to fail to relax. Every show we do, every scene we shoot, is a disaster, I'm convinced of it.
"I go home at the end of the day and my head is full of all the mistakes I've made.
"I beat myself up about what I've stuffed up the day before,” he added. “I'm looking for things to go wrong. I'm not rejoicing or lying back and enjoying it."

Kate Hudson's Son Wants a Mohawk
Whenever we post a photo of Kate Hudson and her three-year-old son Ryder we inevitably get the "give the kid a haircut" comment. Apparently Hudson shares the urge to clip off his long hair, but Ryder has other ideas. The boy refuses to let her cut it unless he can get a mohawk.
She says, “He won’t let me cut it. I said, ‘We’re gonna have to cut your hair…’ and he goes, ‘Yeah mom… I wanna mohawk!’ I was like, ‘I can’t.’”
Hudson credits Ryder’s father, rocker Chris Robinson, for her son’s love of his long locks: “I think it’s a daddy thing - his daddy’s got long hair so he loves his long hair.”

Queen Latifah Wants the Clanging and Banging of Kids
Queen Latifah has never backed down from a challenge. The next challenge the actress and singer wants to take on is adding children to her family.
She says, "I've always wanted to have [babies] and adopt. When I was little, I remember seeing TV shows and a child would be adopted and be happy. I just always felt like there are so many kids out there who need a parent. I want to be that household where everybody's kids hang out. As long as you can tolerate the noise and the clanging and banging, it's cool. To me, it's good energy.
She's already perfecting the "mom look" to help discipline her future kids.
She jokes, "I hope to have that skill when I have kids. I can give them that one look [menacingly narrows her eyes] and they'll straighten right up, because that's what my mom was known for."
Her mother, Rita Owens, shares her daughter's desire to add to the family and wants to see the next generation sooner rather than later. Ms. Owens says, "[Dana] always said she wants at least seven children. I used to harass her like, 'I want to be a cool grandmother, Dana. I want to be able to ride horses and swim.' [Now] I say, 'Looks like we're going to be wheelchairing the grandkids around at this point...' She's like, 'Ma, I'm working on it!' "

Alison Eastwood is the daughter of a famous father, Clint Eastwood, and is releasing her first baby later this month - her first film as a director.
Alison admits that she has some big shoes to fill with her directing debut of the film, Rails & Ties. She says, "Believe me, I've been having to deal with being in the shadows of that - my father being such an icon. But I just do my thing."
She isn't entirely on her own and her dad gave her a little bit of advice on how to be succesful as a director. She says, "He doesn't say much, besides 'Make sure you get a lot of sleep and take care of yourself.' He shows you, instead of talking."

"I guess get married and have kids. That's something I haven't done!" she joked.

Update: Today's hearing featuring Britney Spears and Kevin Federline is over. Both parties were on hand.

It was a complete mob scene as Spears left the courthouse with her attorneys which was covered live by TMZ. As the photographers mobbed her car as she exited the parking lot all I could think is how lucky it is that no one was hurt in the craziness.
