Tina Fey to Star in American Express Ads
Move over Ellen DeGeneres, Tina Fey is set to star in a new series of ads for American Express.
Fey will star in a national campaign which will show the multi-tasking-mom "juggling pressures from work and home life, from snake wranglers to putting out fires," until she "seeks refuge through the American Express customer care representative who frees her of liability for a fraudulent charge made on her American Express Card."
OK.... my refuge is usually a quiet bath after the boys have gone to bed but maybe that's just me.

Jodie Foster Breaks the Hollywood Mold
Oscar winner Jodie Foster is proud of the life and career she has forged out in Hollywood. Her latest film, The Brave One, opens this month and the ground breaking actress recently talked with Entertainment Weekly about how she's broken the Hollywood mold.
Some highlights:
On life in Hollywood:
“I can feel a little grossed out by L.A. but, hey, it’s nice to feel superior! Clearly you have to wear a lot of rubber to get through this town. My kids are so innocent. They're not L.A. kids and none of their little friends are.”
On making movies:
“I make movies with real technicians who wake up at four in the morning and wear Patagonia everything. I don’t make them with wives of executives who have fake lips. I was never the ingĂ©nue or the pretty girlfriend of Tom Cruise in a movie. I didn’t have that career, so I don’t have to compete on that level.”
On intentionally avoiding being part of the Brat Pack:
"I got insecure because I made this conscious choice when I was 18 and 19 not to do any of those coming of age devirginization movies, to be a part of any kind of Brat Pack. They were the hot items here in L.A. and I was living in Connecticut and going to college. I knew some of those guys so I did feel like a bit like a loser. ‘What are you guys doing tonight? I’m studying for this French test.’”
On growing up a child actor:
“Everybody tells you as a child actor that by the time you’re 18, it’ll be over, so you need to be prepared. knew that. My mom got me real nice and prepared for that. It’s a weird business. It’s a weird thing for a child to be doing. And it’s a really, really weird thing for an adolescent to be doing. When you have pimples and you feel bad about yourself and you’re kind of overweight, you should not be a public figure. That’s just mean.”
On organized religion:
“I’m an atheist. But I absolutely love religions, and I love the rituals. Even though I don’t believe in God. Pretty much every religion we celebrate in our family with the kids. They love it and when they say “Are we Jewish?” or “Are we Catholic?” I say “Well, I’m not, but you can choose when you’re 18. But isn’t this fun that we do Seders and advent calendar?”
On talking about her kids (son Charlie, 9, and Kit, 5):
"I don't not talk about them. Do people say I don't talk about them? It's kind of weird to go into long detail about them when you're trying not to invite scrutiny in your private life. But it's hard not to because I love them and they're so fun and they're on my mind all the time. It's funny — we went to a parade the other day. And the whole idea of a parade is to get joyful and loose. When you have a kid, you hope that they feel that way, because you're spending the whole time going, ''Do you have your eye on him?! He's wearing an orange hat! I hope he's not going to get lost in the crowd!'' You can't turn off all the worry. So I purposely don't drag them into places where it's going to be a nest of public attention."

Ryan Reynolds Has No Adoption Plans
Ryan Reynolds says he has no plans to adopt an African orphan because he’s sure he'd be a terrible father. The actor recently made a trip to Malawi to help build an orphanage.
He says, “Everyone asks when you come back, ‘Were you tempted to get a kid?’ “A) It’s not that easy, B) If I did get a kid, I’m the last person who should have one. I’d be the only person in the history of orphanages in which the kid actually asked to go back to the third world country.”

David Beckham's Sidelined from Soccor, but Ready to Add to Family
David Beckham's season with the Los Angeles Galaxy may have come to an early end following his injury yesterday, but the soccer star is ready to move on to expanding the Beckham family.
In an interview this morning on Ryan Seacrest's L.A. radio show, Beckham talked about making Los Angeles a home for his family, wife Victoria and sons Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 5, and Cruz, 2.
Some highlights of the interview:
On life as an international heartthrob:
"It's an honor. I think that it's always nice to have the attention like that. But it's also amazing to be married to one of the most beautiful women in the world."
On dealing with the paparazzi in LA:
"It's been pretty intense since we arrived...more than what we are used to. We're used to being followed by four or five cars maybe, but to have forty seven cars in the first week, every day, following us, it was pretty insane."
On adjusting to life in the U.S.:
"We're enjoying it. It's a country that has sort of embraced us...everyone has been so positive, about not just me as a soccer player, but Victoria as a person...When she does a TV program or a radio program, people actually see what she's like as a person and see that she's got a great sense of humor...people really warm to her."
On adding to his family with Posh:
"At some point...When we first met, we never even spoke about how many kids we wanted. It was just lucky that we both actually wanted around the same number. We both want four or five kids...we're very family oriented."
On trying to have a daughter:
"That's one thing I'll be trying -- changing my diet and wearing tight pants!"

Larry Birkhead and OK! Magazine No Longer BFFs
Larry Birkhead and OK! Magazine are no longer playing nice with each other. Anna Nicole Smith's ex and father of her daughter Dannielynn have been BFFs since they cut an "exclusive" deal with him during his custody battle with Howard K Stern.
The magazine was expected to run pictures of Dannielynn's first birthday party, but has pulled out due to "explosive allegations."
"Newly obtained allegations are detailed, shocking and potentially incriminating. Furthermore, it makes it impossible for OK!, in good conscience, to promote this family’s highly questionable relationship in our pages. Next week's issue of OK! will bring all of the unfortunate, relevant details to light," according to editor in chief Sarah Ivens.
She adds: "It breaks my heart that OK! has to pull out of a shoot that would have chronicled the next great chapter of Dannielynn's life. That sort of celebration is what the magazine enjoys most. But first and foremost, we—and I—care dearly about the well-being of the young one, and my moral obligation lies with her. So, it's unfortunate, but at the moment, my biggest fear is that Larry and Howard may have tricked us all."
For his part, Birkhead says the allegations are based on an upcoming book by Rita Cosby, and that he is planning plans to sue both Cosby and the magazine.
He tells TMZ that the current smear campaign is due to Us Weekly recently featuring Dannielynn on its cover. OK! had previously paid him $1.7 million for an exclusive four-part series.

Rudolph is the latest in a series of subpoenas issued by Federline's lawyers including Alli Sims, Daimon Shippen, Shannon Funk and an administrator at Promises Treatment Center, where Spears attended a substance abuse rehabilitation program earlier this year.

Jennifer Garner's Filming Rule: Stay Away from the Boobs
Jennifer Garner found filing the fight scenes for her new film, The Kingdom, in which she plays a government agent sent to investigate a bombing in the Middle East a bit grueling.
"It was so down and dirty that [I] had scratch marks that we had to cover up on my face for the next few days," says Garner.
"Pete Berg [director of The Kingdom] was a guest star on Alias the first season," she said at a press event for the film. "He and I had a fight. His idea of doing the fight was to improvise. I am a girl. I don't really want to be punched. ... He started trying to actually hit me, so I shouldn't have been surprised [about his approach on The Kingdom]. They yanked me out of that fight [on Alias] so fast."
Garner did lay down the law on one item during the filming of the fight scenes: "He had to stay away from my boobs."
"Because I was breastfeeding (daughter Violet)," she says. "And he did. That was the one sacred thing. He could go for my head, pull my hair, just not the boobs."

The SPCA investigation in the recent injury to Britney Spears' puppy, London, has been completed and the singer has been cleared of any wrong-doing.
Madeline Bernstein, President of the Los Angeles branch of the SPCA, says that the Yorkie is wearing a splint on its leg due to a minor accident earlier this month.
“It was a very slight fracture,” Berstein tells US Weekly. “The dog didn’t need a real cast or surgery. There was just a splint put on the dog.”
Spear's veterinarian confirmed the accident and treatment to the SPCA this morning.
“The dog got under someone’s foot in the walk-in closet,” says Bernstein. She also added that the accident didn’t involve either of the children.
“It’s not that unusual for people to step on their dogs by accident or trip over them,” Bernstein says. “Things like this can happen.”
