Neil Patrick Harris Is Doing His Homework When It Comes to Fatherhood

When it comes to his impending fatherhood, How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris is taking a literary approach.

"I'm trying to read as much as I can, and prep as much as I can," Harris said on the red carpet before Sunday's Emmy Awards. "But there's only so much you can do because each baby is super individual and totally their own person."

The actor recently announced that he is expecting twins with his partner David Burtka later this fall

"[I'm] very, very excited," the the Emmy winner added. "It's the big, crazy calm before the ridiculous storm."

Tina Fey Has the Best Mom Quote of the Emmys

Emmy Nominee Tina Fey had the best mom quote of the evening saying, "We also have a rule on 30 Rock that I can't have any muscle tone either. As an executive producer, it's a rule I made."

The actress was referring to the fact that Mad Men actresses are advised to avoid working out while filming the hit show.
