Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra Split the Parenting Duties

Soccer legend Mia Hamm and husband, Nomar Garciaparra, have found a method to separate the parenting duties for their twin daughters, Ava and Grace, that is working for them.

"They sleep in different rooms right now," says Hamm. "So I have the monitor for one and he has one for the other. When my monitor goes off, I go. When his goes off, he goes."

Besides night duty, the Dodger shortstop also shares diapering dutie with his wife. He admits, "With two you have to. There was no manual for that. But that doesn't bother me."

He has found one skill that faces a parent of multiples a bit challenging. He laughts, "They didn't tell you how to pick up both of them at the same time."

Hamm adds, "Or who to pick up first when they are both crying. It doesn't tell you that. You're afraid if you go to one the other is going to be hurt."
