The twins were born via a gestational carrier. A gestational carrier is when a woman carries another couple's baby which was conceived by the parents' own egg and sperm.

Sounds like God had very little to do with this pregnancy. I dislike the fact that they opt for the term gestational carrier, in stead of a surrogate mother. The woman who carried these babies for 9 months is not some object.
ReplyDeleteHis son is 15, not 17 years old.
Technically their pregnancy was a gestational surrogacy in which their fertilized egg was implanted in a surrogate carrier.
ReplyDeleteThe more traditional surrogacy is in which the surrogate's egg is fertilized with the father's sperm and then implated in the surrogate mother.
It's just a term to differentiate the two different types of surrogacy.
