Nicole Richie: OK with Gaining Baby Weight

Nicole Richie finished up her two part interview with Diane Sawyer on Friday and said that she plans transwformer hersellf into "a very healthy and respectable" mom.

Of course, the statement brought about a line of questions about her ultra-thin body and the impact it could have on her child.

"Do I eat is kind of an understatement," said Richie, who is currently four months pregnant. "I eat all the time, especially now. I'm constantly hungry. I'm eating at least every hour."

Richie added, "Just like any mother, you know, you want to take the best care of yourself, especially while you're pregnant. And I'm definitely eating healthier now, and I'm really playing by the rules.

"I do not drink caffeine at all, cut out sushi. No alcohol ... No marijuana ... No pills ... Nothing ... No smoking around me."

Richie's boyfriend, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, revealed that even he has given up his pack-and-a-half-a-day cigarette habit.

Richie is ready for the extra pounds that her body will put on during her pregnancy and is "totally okay" with gaining 40 or 50 lbs. during her pregnancy if "that is what my body needs to do."

However even confronted with photos of her earlier party girl skeletal frame, she denied ever having an eating disorder.

Richie said, "No, I do not have an eating disorder. I've never had an eating disorder. Ever. ... It's anxiety. It's stress. It's just not being careful."

"I'm really sorry for not accepting that earlier," Richie added. "It took me a while." As for what Richie sees when she looks at those photos, she said, "I see a girl that is obviously going through something and is much too skinny."

One thing she did admit is that the weight loss could have been drug related. She has previously spent time in rehab for drug addition. When asked the question, she responded: "I think it possibly could have been."
