Tennis star Kim Clijsters and her fiancé, basketball player Brian Lynch, are expecting their fist child.Clijsters's father, Lei, announced on his Web site that the tennis champ is expecting and due to give birth early next year.
"If everything goes well, Kim will be a mom and I a grandfather next year," he wrote.
The couple are scheduled to get married on Saturday in her hometown of Bree, in the north of Belgium.
The 24-year-old tennis star, who won the U.S. Open in 2005, announced that she would retire from tennis in May.
