David Beckham's debut performance for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team on Saturday set a TV record. Despite only playing for 13 minutes, Beckham's first game in America drew a record 1.5 million viewers to ESPN - the largest audience ever for a Major League Soccer team.David is also set to appear in a 13-part reality series titled "David Beckham's Soccer USA". The show premieres , from American Idol producer Simon Fuller.
The show is due to premiere tonight on the FOX Soccer Channel.
