Gwen Stefani Loves Her Lipstick

As a child, Gwen Stefani preferred experimenting with make-up to playing with toys. The singer would set up playdates with her friends just to raid their moms make-up kits.

Gwen said: "I was always the girl who, after school every day, would say, 'Ask your mom if we can play with her make-up! And then we'd do that for about four hours! I would burn everybody with the curling iron, I'd do make-overs on everyone.

"I was a make-up artist in a mall when I was 17 so it's always something I've been into."

Despite being mom to a one-year-old, Gwen still insists on going out fully made-up and doesn't care what other people think about her obsession. Gwen said: "Everyone has criticized me for wearing too much make-up but I've also made a career out of it!

"My make-up must have is my lipstick. It's what my husband likes me in and I definitely try to please him!"
