Eddie Murphy Due in Court for DNA Test

Eddie Murphy and Melanie Brown were due to appear in court today in Los Angeles for Murphy to submit to a paternity test. Brown contends that the Dreamgirls star is the father of her daughter, Angel Iris.

“Mel knows the baby is Eddie’s and can’t believe it has got to this point where she has to force him to acknowledge there is a chance he could be the father,” a source tells UK newspaper The Sun.

The comedian has formerly denied paternity of the child and has yet to meet the tyke.

The source adds: “At least this way they will know officially whether Eddie is the daddy or not and move on from there. This isn’t about the money, it’s about Angel knowing for sure who her dad is.”
