The recent health scare that had Regis PHilbin home recovering from triple bypass surgery has left Kelly Ripa front and center on Live with Regis and Kelly. Now the star is reportedly hoping to cash in on her growing star power with a lucrative new contract. Her current contract expires in June 2008.Ripa is reportedly starting negotiations for a new five-year deal that would keep her on the show until 2013 and pay up to $60 million over five years a big increase over the $4 million she earns now.
In addition to the big raise, she reportedly would also like to increase her clothing allowance from $45,000 / year to $75,000 /year and veto power on any future co-host. The biggest thing that the star wants to garner is a next egg that will allow her to have more flexibility in the future.
