Eva Herzigova Loves Her Pregnant Body

Czech supermodel, Eva Herzigova, is enjoying her pregnancy and can't wait to meet her new addition.

Herzigova tells the UK's The Sunday Times: "I'm just so happy. I want to be pregnant for the next 10 years."

Currently featured as the face of Gap's maternity line. She says: "I feel so powerful. You have no idea. But it's an inner power. You are so content with just being. That’s how it is. I feel so confident about my body. I feel so potent. You feel like you have your mission, and it’s empowering."

Herzigova proudly displayed her new figure on the February cover of Italian Vanity Fair.

"Many times women disappear when they become pregnant," says Herzigova. "They start to hide and feel like they don't want to be seen. I think that's wrong. I want to show that pregnancy can be sexy,” she says. “That is very important to me.”"

She revealed that she has gained nearly 25 lbs through the first seven months of her pregnancy --due to a craving for sweets and chocolate!

Her focus remains on the baby and admits that she's in no rush to shed the baby weight.

"I'm not thinking about getting back into shape," she says. "I just want to enjoy this. I'm not like one of those celebrity people who would die to get back into shape. If people want to take pictures of me being round, they will take pictures of me being round. I think it's important to show your true self and how you are – you don't have to be in perfect shape or skinny shape."

She also has no plans to marry boyfriend Gregorio Marsiaj. "I told Greg I'd marry him for the children, one day. But for me, our love is written in my heart. I don't need to have it on a piece of paper."

After her baby's arrival in June, Herzigova plans to take at least three months off - somewhere quiet by the sea. After that, she plans to return baby to modelling taking the baby with her.

"The child will be everywhere with me,” she says. “I’ll continue my nomadic lifestyle. I feel comfortable that way, and if you project that, the baby will feel comfortable too.”

Impending motherhood has given her a new perspective on life outside the fashion industry. “Modelling was a great school,” she says. “I’ve learnt so much; I’ve travelled the world. But now I feel like my life is less about me and my career. I don’t want to become Mother Teresa, but I feel as if I could do something for others. Being a mother, it makes you relate to people. I’m not just a model any more, I’m more of a person.”
