Country Music Isn't Ready to Make Nice with the Dixie Chicks

The may have one five Grammy Awards, but they didn't receive a single nomination from the Academy of Country Music.

The Dixie Chicks have won 10 ACMs throughout their their career, including Entertainer of the Year in 2000. The trio has been largely shut out by the Nashville establishment since their President Bush-bashing comments in 2003.

No great loss. The Chicks have made it clear that they don't consider themselves a country band anymore -- but I'd say they're much more talented country artists than just about everyone in Nashville who's chosen to bash them.
