Ryan Phillippe's In Touch Interview a Hoax

Ryan Phillippe reportedly provided an "Exclusive" interveiw to In Touch magazine via his new publicist, Michael Sitrick. Today it has been revealed that Sitrick's firm has been fired because they made up the quotes that were provided to the magazine for its cover story.

"We're angry," said one editor at In Touch. "We trusted the publicists."

Phillippe has been represented by the same firm has his wife throughout their marriage -- one of the firm partners is credited with introducing the couple. After the couple announced their split, the PR outsourced Ryan's representation to Sitrick to eliminate any conflict of interest.

The In Touch article in quetion quotes Phillippe as saying in an "exclusive interview," "I'm not jealous of her, that's so far from the truth. She's someone who's very talented and works hard. I've done well, too - that was never an issue."

Phillippe was also quoted, "This is the hardest time of my life - I miss my family."

The biggest problem wasn't the made up quotes, but that the original firm had already given People an exclusive phone interview with Ryan.
