Michelle Williams turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival this week by making a surprise red carpet appearance to promote the films Wendy and Lucy and Synecdoche. It is the first time she has worked the publicity circuit since Heath Ledger's death this past January.Williams has been busy working on the Martin Scorsese thriller Shutter Island, which co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, and taking care of her two-year-old daughter Matilda.
