Mariska Hargitay and her co-star Christopher Meloni have renewed their contracts with Law and Order: SVU making them two of the highest paid stars on television. The two reportedly signed two-year deals with substantial raises worth approzimatley $6.5 million each per year.
The increase makes Hargitay one of the highest-paid actresses in television.
Series creator Dick Wolf says, "I'm thrilled that Chris and Mariska have decided to stay with the show that they've made an indelible stamp upon, as we move into our ninth season."
Good for her! I had heard the show might be canceled but I guess those rumors were wrong. I think she's great.
