Marcia Cross Is Just Fine

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross commented on Extra last night about the rumors swirling that she is having a rough pregnancy.... she's just fine.

The rumors claim that the star is suffering from placenta previa a condition where the placenta implants itself close to the cervix. Many times it presents itself earlier in the pregnancy as a low lying placenta and requires a follow-up ultrasound around 30 weeks. (I had this condition in both of my pregnancies and my low lying placenta deemed not to be placenta previa at the follow-up.) If you do have placenta previa, you will typically be placed on bedrest or even hosptialized to minimize the risk of bleeding until it is safe to deliver the baby.

Marcia Cross: What happened? It was 80, and now it’s 20.

DD: How are you feeling about having twins?
MC: I was really freaked out, and I was terrified. What if I can’t be a good mother to two? And somebody would also be feeling left out.

DD: What kind of mom do you think you're going to be?
MC: Domestically challenged with a very big heart.

DD: What has been the best part of pregnancy?
MC: I won the lottery at my age to have two.

DD: What do you think has been the worst part of pregnancy?
MC: It’s hard to carry around all that weight. I wake up feeling like me, and then I step on the ground, and I’m like, “Whose body is that walking to the bathroom?” I don’t know that person.

DD: Speaking of the downside of pregnancy, is there any truth to the rumors that you having any complications?
MC: No, I haven't had a thing. I didn't know there were any rumors. I am absolutely, 100 percent fine.

DD: So Eva Longoria just got engaged to longtime boyfriend Tony Parker. Have you talked to her yet?
MC: I went in the makeup trailer, and she's grinning ear to ear, and I’m thinking, “What?” And she showed me her ring and I screamed. I think I scared them (her twins). Tony was there, and it was just fantastic.

DD: Well, we have some gifts for you for the babies, with the help of Stride Rite.
MC: Oh my god, this is unbelievable!

DD: Can we just rub bellies for good luck?
MC: Yes!
