Courtney Love Gets a Clean Slate

Courtney Love's probation for drug and misdemeanor assault charges have been terminated by a Los Angeles judge after her successful completion of a drug rehabilitation program.

Love pled guilty last February to possession of a narcotic and misdemeanor assault. She was was sentenced to three years probation, ordered to complete one year of anger management counseling, one year of a drug treatment program, 100 hours of community service, random drug testing, $1,000 fine, and was required to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings three times a week.

Love's attorney, Howard Weitzman tells Us Weekly that,"This morning all cases were dismissed and the record was expunged before Judge Rand Rubin, who made a point that was really cool. He said 'You have done more than expected, and many times it doesn’t happen that way.' And he said 'I commend you.' He dismissed all the cases, terminated probation and [is] expunging [her] record.“

"I'm so happy and excited. I'm relieved," Love said. "I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm happy helping people and helping myself. I just want to put all this stuff behind me. It's all so last year."
