Grey's Anatomy costars Patrick Dempsey and Isaiah Washington nearly came to blows on the set of the hig series on Monday. At the center of the fight was a disagreement over shooting issues of the show.

"We were like two baseball players . . . nose-to-nose," Washington tells People magazine. "We had a difference of opinions while working on set but we've resolved it."

No punches were thrown: "Our faces are too beautiful for that!," says Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke.

Within a few hours, the two had put the fight behind them and were seen sitting side by side at a script read-through.

"In close families arguments happen," according to Dempsey's representative. "They worked it out."

Washington even learned a little something about his costar. "I've never been that close to (Patrick) before," he says. "He has really pretty blue eyes."
