Suri's Birth Certificate

TMZ has posted a copy of the official birth certificate of Suri Cruise.

The document was filed with the Los Angeles County Register-Recorder/County Clerk on May 8, 2006 - 20 days after Suri's birth. A couple of odd things their article points out...

1. The hospital typically files birth certificates within 10 days of the birth, Suri's was delayed awaiting a signature from the parts or their representative
2. Neith Tom Cruise nor Katie Holmes signed the certificate, it was signed instead by a mysterious "friend"
3. The hospital representative who signed the certificate was not in the delivery room and never saw the baby
4. The reason for the ultimate filing of the certificate was that Suri needed a passport and a birth certificate is a requisite for one.

Finally, the hospital rep said that the circumstances that triggered the eventual signing of the birth certificate were that Suri needed a passport and a birth certificate is a prerequisite to obtaining one.
