Mel Gibson was arrested last night for driving under the influence in Malibu. Sherriff's spokeperson Steve Whitmore told CNN that Gibson was pulled over while driving on the Pacific Coast Highway for driving excessively fast.
"The investigation is ongoing," Whitmore told the Associated Press. "As we would do with anyone, we don't want to release any more since the information is fragmentary."
According to booking papers, Gibson was stopped at 2:36 a.m., charged with a misdemeanor and posted $5,000 bond.
The vitriol he spewed during that arrest, allegedly, is horrendous. I have completely lost al respect for this man.
