KATE BECKINSALE is amazed when she sees herself on magazine covers, because her picture has been airbrushed so much she hardly recognises herself. The UNDERWORLD beauty would rather magazine readers could see her in all her unadulterated glory. She says, "It's intimidating, even for me, to come upon pictures of myself in magazines. "The airbrush was a diabolical invention. I'll look at a photo and say, 'God, I wish I still looked like that.' Then I realise, 'Oh, I never did.' "I long to see actresses as they really are, with wrinkles and blemishes. Otherwise, it's just not what we'd call normal."
This is funny because she was just on the cover of Redbook, and by chance I was thumbing through it and I came to an ultra-closeup of her and thought "man, I would not look that flawless even with airbrushing." Come to find out that that was an unretouched photo of her, and that is what she actually looks like. Flawless. So unfair.
