Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney's efforts to bring a second 'Ocean's Eleven' sequel to the big screen look to be on course with the news that all the main original members of the original's ensemble cast bar Julia Roberts have signed up.
Julia Roberts was not in 'Ocean's Twelve', which shifted the heist action to Europe, so her absence is not so significant. Catherine Zeta Jones, who replaced her as female lead in that film, will also be absent for the new movie, titled 'Ocean's Thirteen'. {Celebrity-moms editorial - Julia Roberts was in Ocean 12, but played a more minor role than the previous films.}
However, the likes of Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle and Bernie Mac will all be returning after mountains were moved to free up schedules.
The new female lead looks set to be Ellen Barkin, who will play an important part in the life of Linus, played by Matt Damon.

wasn't julia roberts playing the part of ocean's wife pretending to be julia roberts in the oceans 12?
ReplyDeleteObviously Zeta-Jones is far more important...but Roberts is still present? correct?
