Jessica Simpson Faces Up To the Realities of Being a Working Mom

Jessica Simpson is flying high on motherhood these days.  The mom of daughter Maxwell, 8 months, spent the holidays celebrating the announcement that she is expecting her second child later this year. 

Despite being a celebrity mom, the star admits that being a working mom can be challenging.  She recently sat down to talk with People magazine about the highs and lows of being a working mom.  

"Motherhood is the best thing I've ever experienced - and the most challenging," she tells People magazine.  "On some of the days of Fashion Star, I'm awake before [my daughter Maxwell] is awake, and I'm not home until she's already back to sleep.  That's only happened about four times, but it makes the day awful.  I definitely need to see my baby."

It definitely helps that she has a great partner in fiance Eric Johnson to help her with the parenting duties.  Of Eric she reveals, "It's the sexiest thing in the world to watch how he handles [Maxwell].  We're both learning together, but it's fun because we both get to grow in our relationship together."

Look for Jess and Eric to have their hands full when their newest addition joins the family later this year!
