Julie Delpy: Loving Everything About Motherhood

Actress-screenwriter-director Julie Delpy is enjoying her first year as a mother since welcoming her son Leo six months ago.

"I love everything about it," she said of motherhood at the Buzz Girls Creative Dinner in West Hollywood. "I love breastfeeding. I love looking [down] at him. He looks like a little koala bear. It's so cute."

So far the new mom credits her dad with the giving her the lesson -- lighten up and don't be too overprotective.

"He's like, 'Don't protect him too much. Get him a little dirty. Leave him in the yard a little bit,'" the actress says. "He's a French dad, you know what I mean? He's like, 'Get them a little dirty so they protect themselves from germs.'"
