Madonna is seeking to expand her family by adopting a second child from the impoverished African country of Malawi.An official at the Malawi welfare department has confirmed to the Associated Press that the singer, 50, has filed adoption papers. Madonna is reportedly planning to visit Malawi this weekend and may present her adoption case to a court as early as Monday.
No comments have been released by Madonna or her representatives on the reports.
Madonna previously adopted son David Banda, 3, from Malawi in 2006.
