Jennifer Lopez Shows Off Her Twins in People

People offers the first glimpse of Jennifer Lopez with her twins, Max and Emme. Jennifer and her husband Marc Anthony recently spent some time with interviewer Peter Castro and offered some insights into her pregnancy.

Some highlights on the interview from Mr. Castro:

On finding out she was expecting:
"It had been so long and she was trying so hard to get pregnant that she did not believe the first results. So she sent an assistant out and said, "Get me two more pregnancy tests."

She took a second one, she took a third one. All positive and she still didn't believe it. Finally Marc said 'You got to look at the evidence here, you're pregnant." And they both started crying."

On Jennifer's pregnancy weight gain:
"She gained 45-50 pounds during pregnancy, but she wanted to that because she was having twins and she want to to get the twins big. Right now, she's lost a lot of the weight but she's in no rush to lose all of it. She's enjoying motherhood and that's what she's concentrating on."

On having some help at home with the babies:
"She has two nurses, a couple of nurses, a butler. I have to tell you even though they have two nurses, they do a lot of the work themselves. They are up until 6 o'clock feeding the babies, taking care of the babies. They do not want to leave them, they are so attached right now."

On becoming a mother:
"She described it as the most magical time of her life. She said you know what you can win an Oscar, you can win a Golden Globe, and you know as an ambitious artist you strive for those things but when you have a kid all of that is irrelevant. I mean this is what is most important to her. As she said, 'As a woman this is the biggest thing that can happen to me.

Heath Ledger's Family Disagree Over Management of Estate

The uncles of actor Heath Ledger are concerned about his father Kim's handling of the actor's assets. The uncles claim that Kim mishandled the management of their grandfather's estate 15 years ago in Australia and had to be removed as executor.

"It plunged into enormous debt," said Mike Ledger, one of Kim's brothers.

Heath died in January of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. His will pre-dated his relationship with actress Michelle Williams and the arrival of their daughter Matilda and leaves everything to his parents and sisters.

Ledger's uncle Mike goes on to say the family has nothing to gain by removing Kim as executor: "Our only vested interest is to assure that Matilda is well looked after."

The relationship between Kim and his brothers has been strained for more than 15 years. The dispute started when Kim became an executor of their grandfather Sir Frank Ledger's estate, which they estimate was worth about $2 million in the mid 1980s. Kim was eventually removed Kim from overseeing the estate. The brothers have remained estranged since the dispute.

Dennis Quaid Discusses Twins Overdose

Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly experienced every parents worst nightmare and are speaking out about the medical mixup that endangered the lives of his newborn twins.

"[Mix-ups] happen in every hospital in every state in this country and … I've come to find out, there's 100,000 people a year killed … in hospitals by a medical mistakes," the actor tells 60 Minutes .

"It's bigger than AIDS. It's bigger than breast cancer. It's bigger than automobile accidents and yet, no one seems to be really aware of the problem," says Quaid.

The incident he talking about occurred last November, when his twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace Quaid were hospitalized for a possible infection. What should have been a precautionary measure nearly turned fatal when the twins were mistakenly given a massive overdose of the drug Heparin. A staff member of Los Angeles's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidentally gave them the drug Heparin, an adult-strength blood thinner, rather than Hep-tock, a much-weaker version of the drug routinely given to clear IV lines in pediatric patients.

"Our kids are bleeding from everyplace that they've punctured," says Quaid. "They were working on Boone, whose belly button would not stop bleeding – blood squirted across the room. It was blood everywhere. It was a life-and-death situation." (The babies are now doing fine.)

The Quaids are suing manufacturer Baxter International who manufacturers both drugs following the incident.

Jodie Foster Talks about Being a Child Star and Working Mother

Jodie Foster has been in the spotlight since she was a child and talks with Parade about what it was like being a child star, why she’s never fallen in love and being a working mom.

On being a child prodigy:
"Being a child prodigy is inherently lonely. I was one of them. You’re different from other kids. No one else can understand. There’s a longing to connect, a craving to say, ‘Here is the deepest part of me, the part that people don’t see.’"

On her long career:
"I’ve been working for 42 years. Sometimes I think, ‘What the hell are you doing? What’s the value of all this?’ I have fantasies about the things I might have done. I wish I’d been a ski bum or maybe had a job at a Starbucks in a ski place."

On why she hasn’t truly fallen in love yet:
"Oh, my life is basically from the head up. I’m definitely not proud of that. I’m very analytical."

On her childhood attitude toward acting:
"To me, acting didn't seem like much of a profession. My mom always said, 'By the time you're 16, your career will be over. So what do you want to do then?' She was correct. Most child actors' careers end early. They're lost."

On being a working mother:
"I’m still not sure where I’m going in my life. There are times when I don’t really know what I am here for. When I had my kids, I was burnt out on the film business again and wondering if this new identity as a parent was going to be fulfilling enough. I was forced to ask these really hard questions about myself: Is being a mother everything? Are you supposed to lose yourself in the process of being a mother?"

On being a child actor:
"People ask me if I missed anything by not having a normal childhood. The truth is, if I’d been an ambassador’s daughter or grown up on a farm in Missouri, I wouldn’t have had a normal childhood either. I had the only childhood I knew."

On raising her boys:
"Boys are easy. I mean, there are just a lot of bruises when they're young. With boys, you get a lot of accidental jabs in the eye and stepping on your feet, and those tantrums they cause when they don't want to leave the toy store. But my boys are getting older now. They go to school all day, and then one wants to do T-ball and the other wants to do karate, so they're actually gone until four-thirty. I want them to have curiosity about things they don’t know, and a desire to see places bigger than where they grew up."

Kate Beckinsale Talks Motherhood to Mean Magazine

Actress Beckinsale is featured on the cover of the April issue of Mean magazine. In the accompanying article, she talks candidly about motherhood.

Some highlights from the interview:

On her sleep deprivation as a new mother:
“I remember turning up on the set of Pearl Harbor and all the boys had been to boot camp and I had a 14-month-old baby, and had been told that I had to be in the gym four hours a day. On top of the not sleeping and all this physical activity, the boys kept saying, ‘Wow, it was so tough, you have no idea.’ I remember thinking to myself, ‘You went for five days, I haven’t slept in 14 months. You want to go toe to toe?' "

On the responsibilities of being a mother:
“Babies show up as themselves. I really do believe you can f*** a person up terribly by being a bad parent, but they arrive kind of 80 percent baked, and that 20 percent is crucial, but they do show up with personality."

She says, "Part of me desperately wants a little girl, so that I can have the relationship that my mother and I didn’t quite have. And then on the other hand, I’m scared that I’ll just kind of repeat mistakes that my mother made with me, maybe. Um, so -- but I’d like to give it a try."

Tina Fey Admits We've Been Duped

Tina Fey tells Parade Magazine that our generation of mothers has been duped into thinking we can have it all.

The 30 Rock creator says: "I think my generation has been slightly tricked in that you're really encouraged to try to have it all.

"And sometimes your body will not let you wait as long as you want," adds the working mom, whose daughter, Alice, was born in 2005. She famously took only a 43-day maternity leave before heading back to Saturday Night Live. (Note from Emma - I only took a week with my oldest son which I consider my biggest regret in my life.)

The resolution of the writers strike has led to a busy schedule for the working mom. "We wrap shooting on a normal day by 7 p.m.," she says. "Most times, I then bring three or four writers home with me. I'll put Alice to bed before they come over, then we continue writing until I can no longer stay awake. It's very full."

She admits that being a working parent can be difficult on the entire family. "Last spring, my husband was trying to joke around with me. I was saying, 'Please stop talking. I'm trying to go to sleep,' and he kept talking. Out of the blue ... I just went, 'Stop it!!!' and shoved him across the bed. The life of the working parent is constantly saying, 'This is impossible,' and then you just keep doing it."

Lisa Marie Presley Not Happy About Revealing Pregnancy

Lisa Marie Presley is not happy that she had to admit that she is expecting her third child earlier this week. She says she was pressured into the revelation after several media outlets posted cruel comments about "my expanding physique."

"It is unfortunate that I couldn't have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances," she adds.

This is the first child for Presley and her husband, guitarist and music producer Michael Lockwood. She has two children, daughter Riley, 18, and son Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough.

Nicole Richie Beats Christina Aguilera at the Newstands

Nicole Richie beat Christina Aguilera to the delivery room last month and she's beating her again at the newstands this month. Both new moms were featured with their tots on the cover of People magazine, but Richie's is expected to sell more copies. (Nicole's cover with Harlow is expected to sell 1.8 million copies while Christina's sold much less.)

The difference apparently comes from the different demographics making up their fan bases. A magazine insider says, "Christina historically doesn't do that well on covers," citing poor sales of her wedding photo issue in OK! and low sales of her nude photo shoot in the
January 2008 issue of Marie Claire.

While Nicole Richie doesn't seem like someone who would send issues flying of the racks, the source says: "There's also a greater element of curiosity with Nicole. She's gone public about being a heroin addict. Her boyfriend is covered in tattoos. By default, she's got the more interesting baby. People want to see how she settles down. They want to see what kind of baby someone with her background has."

Richie welcomed daughter Harlow on Jan. 11, one day before Aguilera gave birth to son Max.

Actress Jodie Sweetin Prepares for Motherhood

Full House actress Jodie Sweetin has been very busy preparing to become a first-time parent with husband Cody Herpin.

“Five more weeks to go — the countdown is on!” Jodie said at the Readalicious Wonderland event over the weekend. “I think I’m ready. It’s weird. I don’t think you’re ever fully prepared to be a parent, but I’m excited for sure.”

To prepare herself for impending motherhood, she's been turning to family and friends for advise as well as doing lots of reading. “I’m a huge reader,” she says. “I’m a big book nerd. I go through like two books a week.”

Like many other expectant moms, Jodie has found some pregnancy cravings. “Frozen chicken pot pies are like the one thing throughout the pregnancy I’ve really wanted but that’s about it,” she says. “Nothing weird. No pickles and ice cream. I’ve heard of women craving to eat dirt, but none of that. I’m pretty normal.”

After the baby arrives in April, Jodie wants to head back to work acting. She admits, "After the baby is born, I definitely want to start getting back into things. I want to start working again, but I want to get back into shape first, because it’s kind of hard to work when you’re round."

Salma Hayek on Motherhood and Her Unconventional Relationship

Salma Hayek is a very busy mom. In addition to being a high-profile actress, Hayek keeps herself busy producing Ugly Betty and is a dedicated activist. Not to mention that she welcomed her first daughter, Valentina Paloma, with PPR CEO Francois-Henri Pinault in September.

She recently sat down with Glamour magazine to talk about her daughter, her pregnancy, her relationship, and her hopes for the future.

On becoming a mother at age 41:
"I believe that change keeps you young. I’m a late bloomer; I always have been. I’m 41, and I know a lot of women think that this is the time when you start getting depressed. To that I say, “No, no, no, no, no!” I’m having the best time of my life."

On the best thing that's happened in her life: "The best thing that’s ever happened to me is this thing that has happened to so many women, which is having a baby. Every second is magical, every smile. I cannot get enough of it, because I am not sitting here thinking, What am I going to do with my life? I’ve already established my career. I think it’s very good to have a child at this age. I’m in a great place."

On how Valentina has changed her:
"I don’t remember very well who I was before. Part of me feels like it’s so new and so strange to have a baby, and part of me feels like I’ve known [her] face forever. Somehow I am really relaxed within the chaos of having a baby -- and anyone who’s a mother knows it’s very hard to relax, because there is so much to do and worry about! I just feel so fortunate to be her mother, and it makes me excited about the rest of my life, because I will get to witness her transformation every day. I feel I was born to have this girl."

On her pregnancy:
"I really embraced pregnancy. I enjoyed it. It came to me and I said, 'OK, this is where I go now.' I had diabetes while I was pregnant. I became huge. And I said, 'This is what it takes for me to have this baby, and I really want it.' Then you don’t know if it’s going to be healthy; you are completely out of control. So the experience really makes you humble."

On the surprises of motherhood:
"Well, I have to confess something -- I wanted a boy. At the beginning I did. Probably because I was afraid. I think women suffer a bit more than boys, and there is always conflict between mothers and daughters. But now that she’s here, I’m so happy she’s a girl. And I can’t imagine there ever being conflict between us, because I’m in a state of innocence where I love everything she does. If she does a poop and I have to change the diaper, I love that moment!"

On her relationship with Valentina's father, Francois-Henri Pinault [he lives in Paris, she lives in Los Angeles]:
"To most women it’s crazy. But every relationship is unique, and in order to make it work you have to be willing to listen—not only to your partner, but to the relationship itself. You have to be brave enough to say, 'This is who we are: We might not look like the perfect couple, or like our parents did, but this is our love story.'"

Mary Louise-Parker Returns to the Stage

Mary-Louise Parker is taking a break from her hit Showtime series, Weeds, to return to the Broadway stage in the play, Dead Man’s Cell Phone, after a four year absence.

The busy mom-of-two recently talked with The New York Times about her return.

Her are some highlights from the interview:

On being the target of the tabloid media:
“I understand the fascination, and I understand the curiosity, but at the same time I understand the fascination and curiosity of staring at someone who has fallen off their bicycle and has a bloody nose. Does that mean you should stand there and point and look at them as though they can’t see you? I don’t think so. Does that mean you should take a picture of them? Probably not. Does that mean you should take out your cellphone and film them so you can put it on YouTube?”

On whether she would like her 4-year-old son, William Atticus, or baby daughter, Caroline Aberash to become actors:
“I would hope they would want to do theater. If one of my kids came to me and said, ‘I want to be a movie star,’ I would be, like, ‘Go to your room.’ ”
