Madonna and Guy Ritchie were granted a preliminary decree of divorce in London earlier today.Neither party was present at the short court session and the reason given on Madonna's petition for divorce was "unreasonable behavior."
Judge Phillip Waller accepted a negotiated agreement by the couple on the division of assets and custody of their children. The couple have two children sons David Banda, 3, and Rocco, 8. Madonna has a 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship.
The divorce will become final in six weeks and one day.
