Note from Emma

Hi All,

As many of our daily readers know, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with uterine cancer over the summer. Unfortunately, the type of cancer she has is very rare and tends to spread to other parts of the body. In her two month checkup a few weeks ago they found that it had spread to her spine.

She had surgery to remove some of the tumor last week and is starting radition this week. I am taking her to daily radition appointments for the next several weeks. (Did I mention that she moved in with us following her diagnosis in July and she already had a traumatic brain injury several years ago?)

We'll just say life is a bit more challenging in our household right now. I will be posting as much as possible for the next several weeks. Postings may be irregular for the next week or so but we'll be back up to daily posting soon.

Thanks!

Emma
