Britney Spears Traffic Case Declared a Mistrial

The case of Britney Spears for driving without a license ended in a mistrial today. The jury was deadlocked 10-2 in favor of acquitting the singer after three days of deliberation.

"The jury is hopelessly deadlocked, and I declare this a mistrial," stated Judge James A. Steele.

The case was later dismissed following a decision by the prosecutors not to seek a retrial.
