Jessica Alba is featured in a new ad campaign for the Declare Yourself initiative. The ad features the new mom in new bondage-inspired campaign for the voter group and contains a bit of shock value.
"I think it is important for young people to be aware of the need we have in this country to get them more active politically," says Alba. "People respond to things that are shocking."
She adds, "If you don't register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself."
Not so shocking is Alba's insight into being a new mom to 3-month-old daughter Honor. "So far [motherhood] is the best thing ever," she says. "It is exhausting but way more fulfilling than anything I have done. Everything I do now is so much more meaningful because of her."
