Meg Ryan on Not Having the Classic Happy Ending

Meg Ryan is known for her romantic comedy love stories which all come with the classic happy ending. In real life, she found much more difficult to balance life as a working wife and mom.

"It's very difficult to be a career person and have a relationship," she tells Hello magazine. "I didn't succeed at doing it at all. It's incredibly hard.

"I think you have to figure out some way of keeping all of those capabilities and requirements in your life in balance," she adds.

Ryan was married to actor Dennis Quaid for 10 years.

Following her high profile divorce, she has been working to find more balance in her life with son Jack Henry, 15, and Daisy True,3.

Her new film, The Women, opens next month.
