Kate Hudson and hairstylist David Babaii are being sued by a hair care company claiming that the two stole the formulas used to create their new line of hair care products.LA-based 220 Laboratories has filed sued claiming fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, among other complaints.
The company claims that they entered into an oral contract with Hudson and Babaii in 2006 to develop and manufacture hair care products.
"Kate and her attorneys are only just learning of the complaint, as Kate has not yet been served," says her rep about the suit. "Kate does not know the plaintiffs and has never met with them or spoken with them. Her representatives believe that the claims are baseless and without merit and intend to vigorously defend the lawsuit."
