Kimora Lee Simmons chronicles her life in the hit Style series, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, but she admits that married life was not all that fabulous.
"When you get married, you're forced to drink the milk long after it's spoiled," the designer tells Giant magazine for its June/July 2008 issue.
Simmons separated from her husband of 10 years, Russell Simmons, last year. She is currently dating actor-model Djimon Hounsou, and is never one to shy away from knocking down .
Although she admits she adores the fabulous life, she dismisses the idea that she is an "extreme diva."
"The reality, is I'm a dedicated mother [to daughters Ming Lee, 8, and Aoki Lee, 5] and a very kind, funny and hardworking person," she says. "My reality-TV show helps to shed a bit of light, but even that's glamorized."
Her priority is teaching her daughters to live their life in the spotlight and yet keep a core set of values.
She says, "You can't care too much about what people think of you. You have to establish your own set of core values and live by them."
And what are those core values? "Honor, respect, tenacity, intelligence and humor," she says, adding, "Do your best, and live with the repercussions of your choices – good or bad."

If you've ever watched Life in the Fab Lane, you would know that Kimora is the true definition of a diva. She takes her kids and her business very seriously. You mess with those two things, and you can kiss Kimora goodbye!
ReplyDeleteShe kind of reminds me of my girl Bianca from the If Looks Could Kill series. Ever heard of it? If not, check out the cool webisodes on IfLooksCouldKill.com I'm telling you she's the next sheroe. She's got it all! I'm talking the dream job, the man who makes other women drool, and the spice to keep it all together.
The best part is that you can participate in helping Bianca solve the mystery that suddenly becomes her life, and have a chance to win some really great prizes too. I work for Toyota and I’ve got all of the details, but that sure didn’t stop me from participating. Who can pass up on my opportunity to receive a free Ipod Nano, Visa gift card, or Toyota Camry? Believe me when I say that the first episode can wheel you in like bait. It got me hooked and I was definitely on it. You better believe that I will stay tuned in, especially since I haven't witnessed anything this good since forever. I'm telling you it's like 007 meets Stella's Got Her Groove Back.
Check it out! You'll see what I'm referring to. And don't forget to let me know what you thought about the first webisode. I'd love to read the feedback. You can hit me on Amanda.Clouden@yahoo.com
This is going to be FUN!
