Madonna and 11-year-old daughter Lourdes hit the black carpet at a charity event to raise funds for UNICEF and her own non-profit organization, Raising Malawi. Ticket sales for the event held on the lawn of the United Nations had raised $3.7 million for children made vulnerable by AIDS in Africa. Additional funds were raised during the event's auction."Gucci is important to me," Madonna said of the fashion line who helped through the party. "Because they stepped up to the plate to support me. And that means a lot."
Hollywood A-listers showed up to lend their support including: Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Salma Hayek, Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise, Drew Barrymore, and a very pregnant Jennifer Lopez.
