Elisabeth Hasselbeck is returning to The View on Monday following her maternity leave. She has been away from the show since October 23 when she started her maternity leave early in order to move her family to Arizona where husband Tim took on his new job as the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.The couple welcomed son Taylor Thomas on November 9.
Her first day back will be dedicated to "Hot Topics" with a surprise guest.
"She's never shy about expressing her view, so "Hot Topics" will be getting a whole lot hotter – especially with the upcoming presidential election," says ABC. "Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepard joined the show shortly before Elisabeth left, so there wasn't much opportunity for all five co-hosts to interact. Now there will be a new dynamic at the "Hot Topics" table."
