Katie Holmes Was Swept Off Her Feet by Cruise

Katie Holmes is talking about her whirlwind courtship and subsequent marriage to Tom Cruise in next month's issue of InStyle magazine.

Katie Holmes admits that she was swept off her feet "in an instant" by Tom Cruise, but it's her family life that makes her content and grows richer each day.

"It happened quickly, but I was certain it was what I wanted," says Holmes. "I never felt overwhelmed. I thought, Okay, good. Here we go."

"It happened in an instant," she says of the first blush of love. "I still get like that, 'Whew.' When you fall in love, it's as though time stops. It's all-encompassing."

As quickly as they fell in love, it's been the blossoming of their family over the next two years and the everyday moments of family life that has brought her true happiness.

"I try every day to let him know how much I love him," Holmes says of Cruise. "It gets better and better. It has made my life."

Holmes would love to add another child to her family, but is in no hurry with her hands full with daughter Suri.

"She loves coloring and creating," Holmes says of Suri. "She's a great mimic and dancer. She came to the photo shoot yesterday and was into all the shoes. I'm mostly shocked at how quickly she grows."

After taking a break from films to have Suri and enjoy the first year of her life, Holmes returns to the big screen in the Mad Money and is looking forward to finding the balance as a working mom.

"I want to go to sleep knowing I made my family happy, I made myself happy, and I worked hard in all aspects of life," she says. "It's really pretty simple."
