Philip Seymour Hoffman is enjoying fatherhood the second time around with his 1-year-old daughter Talluhlah."She's now smiling, standing up," said Hoffman at the New York afterparty for the premiere of his film Savages.
Hoffman and girlfriend, Mimi O'Donnell, also have a 4-year-old son, Cooper. Like many working parents, he does find it difficult to balance his career and fatherhood, but it's a challenge he happily faces.
"It's hard for anybody who works a lot and has children," he said. "But I wouldn't trade it for anything. When you become a parent, you look at your parents differently. You look at being a child differently. It's an awakening, a revelation that you have."
It's the simple moments he's enjoying the most about being a dad - like the first time his daughter stood up. "I was there when that happened," he said. "I came back and she was standing!"
