Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Start Children's Charity

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are planning to have their first baby shower this Sunday and instead of gifts they are asking friends to donate items to their new charity, the Richie Madden Children's Foundation.

The charity was established to support mothers in need and the couple are asking friends and family to give cribs, strollers and other baby items to the foundation.

The couple also plans on donating 100 mom-to-be-kits to the Los Angeles Free Clinic through the foundation next month.
