Keri Russell paid a visit to The View on Friday and shared some details about son, River Russell Deary's, arrival in June.
She admitted that she was surprised by the whole experience and was taken by surprise when her water broke at home. Once her water broke, the contractions hit hard as husband Shane Deary loaded the couple into a cab in the middle of Friday, rush-hour traffic. The trip to the hospital took nearly an hour and a half with steady contractions the whole way. Upon arriving at the hospital, Keri endured 38 hours of labor.
"It was intense... It was a long time. But it all worked out okay," she said.
Keri showed off her slim figure just five months after delivering.
"I would love to say I worked out every day. But it's truly genetics," Russell said. "You have what you have, and then you work hard or you don't. And I... It was genetics.
In fact, she says she didn't work out at all "I didn't – because I didn't have a babysitter until two weeks ago. It was like walking through the park. And I have to say, breast-feeding, you burn so many calories, and I'm still doing it."
