Gwyneth Paltrow is heading out on food voyage through Spain with some foodie friends.
Once known for her strict alcohol-free, macrobiotic diet, the actress has loosened up her food restrictions (thanks in part to having children.)
"I am 'supercontenta' to be here," Paltrow said at a Madrid press conference announcing the PBS, Spain serieds ... on the Road Again.
The longtime organic advocate won't bend some of her food rules.
"I haven't eaten anything from a four-footed animal since I was about 15," she exclaimed.
Paltrow will film the 13-week series with chef Mario Batali, New York Times food columnist Mark Bittman and Spanish TV actress Claudia Bassols.
Batali was the one who talked Paltrow into taking time away from husband Chris Martin and children, Apple and Moses, to film the show.
"I was having dinner with Mario, and he was talking about this project," said Paltrow. "I told him, 'If you want me, I'm with you.' He thought I was joking, and I had to persuade him I was serious. So here I am in Madrid – my friends are all jealous."
