The Little Seed is located in the hip, urban enclave of Larchmont Village in Los Angeles. The store specializes in green childrens products including sustainable furniture, organic toys, non-toxic art supplies, and much more.
"It's an opportunity to make the planet a little greener," Frye, 31, said at the store's opening on Monday. "I haven't slept at all these last few months. It's probably a combination of pregnancy and opening this store. It's so exciting."
"I had such a hard time finding great organic and non-toxic items for my daughter," says Frye. "I wanted to create a place where parents can come and find products that are safe for their children, as well as good for the planet."
The store is definitely designed by experienced parents with parents in mind. The store has a changing station, a discreet nursing room, and an arts & crafts area to keep the little hands busy. They will also offer creative classes for kids and educational seminars for parents to help provide succinct information on improving the health of our families and of the planet.
Their website is minimal right now and doesn't have products for sale yet.
On Soleil's Pregnancy:
Frye says that her reveals her second pregnancy hasn't been easy so far. "The first trimester was rough," she says. "I don't know why you call it morning sickness, because I was sick all day and night!" Still, she adds: "I'm finally feeling good."
Frye says her daughter Poet is already getting ready for her little brother or sister who is due to arrive in the spring. "She talks to the belly all the time and tells the baby she loves it."
The couple are keeping the gender of the baby a surprise, but have already started discussing names. "Poet is such a unique name," she says about her daughter 's name. "And we have a family of crazy, wonderful names so we have a lot to live up to."
