Barry Manilow really doesn't like Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Manilow was was scheduled to appear on The View Tomorrow, but cancelled due to Hasselbeck's mere presence at the show."I wanted to let you know that I will no longer be on The View tomorrow as scheduled. I had made a request that I be interviewed by Joy, Barbara or Whoopi but not Elisabeth Hasselback. Unfortunately, the show was not willing to accommodate this simple request, so I bowed out," Barry said in a statement.
"It's really too bad, because I've always been a big supporter of the show, but I cannot compromise my beliefs. The good news is that I will be on a whole slew of other shows promoting the new album, so I hope you can catch me on those."

ReplyDeleteI agree with barry Manilow 100%. If Elizabeth Hasselbeck was not going on pregnancy leave in Nov. I would stop watching the View. She is an arrogant opinionated person, always right in her view and a fundamentalist right wing authoritaron with not an original thought in her head!

RIGHT ON BARRY...It's about time someone stood up for what they believe. Elizabeth is OFFENSIVE, OPINIONATED AND ARROGANT and a DEFINITE LIABILITY to the view. She argues every time someone is trying to make a point politically....wonder if she realizes...in her supposed Christian attitude...that everyone has a right to their opinion!

Uh... Mr. Manilow appeared on the show twice with Elizabeth on. So he couldn't have been too offended by her presence. Also, the show is called "THE VIEW" representing different views. I don't agree with everyone's view on the show, but it doesn't mean they don't have a right to speak them (just like you have the right to change channels). As a moderate, I am frustrated when people on both sides of the political coin refuse to hear someone else's opinion (and yes liberals, that includes you too!)
ReplyDeleteI wish more celebrities would boycott The View until Barbara & the producers get a clue! Since the "Rosie" debacle, Elizabeth's mouth is out of control. She talks over, on top of, around, interrupting everyone including BW & guests! It'd be nice to hear what others have to say. She can have her conservative "views", but Geez, where the heck are her manners?! Zip it and dial your arrogance back! It isn't The Elizabeth Hasselbeck View!
ReplyDeleteRemember where she came from: Survival. A show about scheming, manipulation and out manuevering others. Looks like she's still playing. Can her & I'll come back.
Also, Elizabeth does NOT represent all conservatives. So please don't lump them all together. Just like Rosie doesn't represent a lot liberals that I know. With that said, I think people (including myself) are just tired of Elizabeth. After Star left, Elizabeth became the most annoying host. And as someone has mentioned before, she can be rude at times with poorly choiced interruptions.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say about this subject is that Barbara Walters and the View should have given Rosie hers and Elizabeth's mega bucks and gotten rid of her (Elizabeth). You will see that the show is not watched by as many since Rosie left the View. I know she is not perfect but she certainly brightened up that show and gave it an interesting and entertaining new life. How did Elizabeth get on that show anyway? What has she ever done professionally, except starve herself on Survivor. Hardly a candidate for an entertainer, which she is NOT.
