Nicole Richie Does her Time

Pregnant Nicole Richie has served her time for her recent DUI sentence. The expectant Richie served just 82 minutes of a four-day sentence on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. She was processed into the system and released due to jail overcrowding.

"Miss Richie was cooperative during the process," the statement by the Sheriff's Department said. It went on to say that Richie was "treated in the same manner as other inmates with a similar sentence".

Under the current sheriff's policy, non-violent female offenders sentenced to 30 days or less are booked and released within 12 hours.

As part of her sent, Richie must also serve a three-year probation term, enroll in an alcohol education program and was fined $2,048.

Richie is expecting her first child with boyfriend Joel Madden.
