Britney Spears' longtime friend and former assistant, Alli Sims, has been served a subpoena to testify in the ongoing custody battle between the popstar and ex-husband Kevin Federline. Sims was served at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday as she left a private party in the Hollywood Hills. "Alli was really shocked and covered her face," an eyewitness tells People. "[She was] really distraught and said 'Oh my God.' "
The papers Sims was served were sent by Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, compelling her to testify about Spears' parenting skills.
Sims has been a friend of Spears since childhood is often at her side while partying in Los Angeles.
Federline filed for primary custody of the couple's two sons, Sean Preston, 22 months, and Jayden James, 10 months, earlier this week.
