Eva Longoria Asked Not to Get Pregnant for a Year

Newlywed Eva Longoria has been asked by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry to wait at least a year before she gets pregnant following her weekend wedding to Tony Parker.

Cherry joked about the request during his wedding speech that Eva and said that she needs to wait at least a year before he can work it into her character Gabrielle Solis' storyline.

Eva insists she is "fine" with the ban and just wants to enjoy spending some time alone with her new husband.

She tells OK! magazine: "We're fine with that. We want to spend some time with each other, even though we want kids very much."
