Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Move Past the Negativity

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are busy promoting their reality series "Tori and Dean: Inn Love" and are currently in Toronto to talk about the series.

The two are moving forward trying to put the negative press about their coupling behind them (they were both married to other spouses when the met and fell in love while filming a made for tv movie).

"I've always gotten negative press, my whole life,'' Spelling says. "So you know, what's one more circumstance to throw in? It's kind of what I've dealt with in my career, the `build you up to knock you down' sort of thing. You brush it off, laugh it off and it makes you work harder.''

"It comes with the territory. With the bad comes a lot of good. I'm just so happy now that things are just moving in such a positive direction for everyone and I'm just concentrating on my two boys and my wife and the show. I just keep moving in a positive direction.''

"Tori and Dean: Inn Love,'' is currently shooting its second season and will feature the couple's latest addition - baby Liam Aaron McDermott.

"It's the ideal job, because the whole family gets to work together. I can't think of anything better than to have us all there,'' Spelling said. "It's brutal for us to not be together, so being able to work together has just been amazing.''

McDermott is relishing his role as new dad and inn-keeper. "Making breakfast and changing diapers at the same time as long as you don't get it mixed up,'' McDermott jokes.

The couple is currently travelling around to promote their series - in London last week, Toronto this week - and are delighted to have Liam as their travelling companion.

"He is just tremendous,'' Spelling says. "We did good.''

McDermott says that Liam's older brother, Jack, his son with Mary Jo Eustace, is adjusting to his baby brother just fine.

"He adores him. The first night we arrived, I picked up Jack from school, he ran into the hotel room and made a beeline for him ... he's really good with babies,'' McDermott says.
