The Spice Girls Return to Their Girl Power Roots

It's official: The Spice Girls are heading out on a 11-show world tour this winter.

The tour will coincide with the release of their greatest-hits album. The tour will start on December 7 in Los Angeles and make stops in Las Vegas, New York City, London, Cologne, Madrid, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney, Capetown and Buenos Aires.

"We are celebrating the past!" says Geri Halliwell (aka "Ginger Spice). She was joined at the announcement with feloow Spice Girls Victoria "Posh" Beckham, Melanie "Scary" Brown, Emma "Baby" Bunton and Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm.

"I want to be a Spice Girl again," said Bunton. "We are like sisters and we have our arguments, but by the end of the day we get back together."

The tour "will be a proper good farewell to our fans," said Chisholm.

"We are going to celebrate the past, do a small tour and that will probably be it," said Beckham. "Our priority is our families."

Family is a definite focus fr all the Spice Girls: Brown has two daughters, Phoenix Chi, 8, and Angel Iris, 2 months; Halliwell has a baby daughter, Bluebell Madonna, 1; Beckham has three sons, Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 4, and Cruz, 2; and Bunton is expecting her first child in August.
