Skeet Ulrich Distracted by His Kids Instead of Jericho Fan Uprising

Jericho star Skeet Ulrich has had a summer of ups and downs. First his show Jericho was cancelled by CBS and then later picked up for a limited jun next fall thanks to a viewer movement which involved sending massive amounts of peanuts to the network.

Thankfully for him, he wasn't aware of most of the upheaval instead focussing on his 6-year-old twins, Jakob and Naiia.

"The great thing about having kids is it distracts you from dealing with the practical day-to-day of everything. You don't get to dwell on it," he says.

He is thankful to the fans for their support of the show. He says, "It's difficult for me to imagine there was an uprising for something I was part of. It's [the fans] show now. They asked for it. They got it and hopefully we'll make their efforts pay off."

Ulrich had a movie role set up for this summer and had to pull out when he got the news that he was heading back to the Jericho set much to the delight of his twins who are happy that his dad will stay close to home for the time being.

I'm sure Skeet is glad the show has been given new life. However, you can tell from his interviews that he is a father who happens to act for a living; not an actor who happens to have some kids.

In the news today, especially in Celebrity-ville, there are so many stories of warped priorities. It's nice to see a story about someone who has their priorities straight.

Way to go Skeet and best wishes for continued success to the entire cast and crew of JERICHO.
