Late night host Jimmy Kimmel underwent an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday night at a hospital in Los Angeles. According to his rep, Kimmel, is resting comfortably and is looking forward to getting back to work.
This week's tapings of the late night talk show have been cancelled while he recovers.
Kimmel has two children with his ex wife, Gina and has been dating comedian Sarah Silverman since 2002.
